Flat roofs don't shed water like a pitched roof. They hold it. Once it's in, you see stains on the ceiling, blistering, or a slow drip that shows up days after the rain stopped.
A roofer starts on the roof, not in your living room. We look for split seams, cracked flashing at the walls and drains, punctures, and spots where the membrane has pulled loose. On built-up and modified bitumen roofs we check for blisters and alligatoring. On rubber and TPO we check the seams and terminations. Then we dry the area and make the repair: reseam, patch, reflash, or reseal the drain. If the deck is soft underneath, we tell you straight.

Can you repair my flat roof, or does the whole thing need to go?
Most flat roof leaks come from a specific failure: a split seam, a cracked flashing, a bad drain, or a puncture. Those we patch or reseam the same visit. We only recommend replacement when the membrane is failing across the whole surface or the deck under it is rotted, and we'll show you photos so you can decide.
Why does my flat roof leak days after it rains?
Water gets under the membrane and travels along the deck before it finds a path down through your ceiling. That's why the drip and the actual hole are often in different spots. It's also why guessing from inside doesn't work. We trace it on the roof.
Do you handle rubber, TPO, and tar-and-gravel roofs?
Yes. We repair EPDM rubber, TPO, modified bitumen, and older built-up tar-and-gravel roofs, which are common on St. Louis flats and storefronts. The repair method changes with the material, so we identify what you have before we start.
